Den Harrow is an Italo-disco act whose vocals are provided by Chuck Rolando, Silvio Pozzoli, Tom Hooker and Anthony James – while the stage performance is given to Stefano Zandri. The production is from Miki Chieregato and Roberto Turatti and brings fullness to the sound of Italian disco music in the 80’s. “Don’t Break My Heart” is from the project “Day By Day” from 1987 and is a plea for a continuance of a love which seems troubled yet here in a realm that is worth saving. The dramatic flair of this piece has plenty of deep sequencers pounding out the disco beat with tears and all. One of the lower energy tracks with that after-hours feel.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Don’t Break My Heart” and realigned the piece for this ReStructure Mix. More of the percussion from the original is outlined and more breaks are added to this arrangement.
