ReStructure Mix Update (12/24/23): Medley: “Times Out Of Time”/”Don’t Start Givin’ Up” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Mike Francis

Mike Francis is an Italian singer who began his recording career in 1984 and leaves behind him in his passing in 2009 a string of wonderful ballads and rhythmic pieces. This ReStructure Mix focuses on two of Mike’s beautiful numbers: “Times Out Of Time” and “Don’t Start Givin’ Up” from 1988 – both tracks are a bit more adult contemporary outlined and have a wonderful resonance in both vocals and arrangements. The 12” single “Times Out Of Time” featured the bonus track “Don’t Start Givin’ Up” – and are produced by Mike Francis and Davide Romani (of Peter Jacques’ Change). Two hidden gems that always weaved magic for me in early evening or after-hours sets.

I have taken both 12” versions of “Times Out Of Time” and “Don’t Start Givin’ Up” and reworked the two songs into a medley for this ReStructure Mix. A new drum track outlines these pieces as one and a mere shuffle from one to another guide you on this journey.
