D.J. Professor are Cristian Piccinelli, Luca Cittadini and Simone Pagliari - an Italian house project from the early 90’s. An experimental twist utilizing the riffs from Euro-house and combining the energy with techno bass and heavy drums. Their 1992 single “Runner” is one of their most infectious recordings and was produced by Gianfranco Bortolotti for the Italian label Underground. This one places a one sided relationship on the discovery of no allegiance to the dedication of one to another. The echoes of the chorus are delivered in an unforgettable sampled riff. Drums pump more energy into the arrangement for this dance floor powerhouse and complete the sound which took over floors from the end of the 80’s to the end of the 90’s.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Runner” and stripped down the segments which make this track work in this ReStructure Mix. Pieces of each of the four mixes piece together for this new arrangement and remix.
