ReStructure Mix Update (5/16/25):”Let Me Free” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gina

Gina is a Euro-disco project from Dutch producer, Michiel Van Der Kuy who began his venture on dance floors with instrumental tracks under the titles L.A. Style, Laserdance, Attack and Bang Crosby. His use of several female vocalists for this project include Alisha Baker, Debby Jason, Jackie Touché, Sheena and Sheila Stewart. “Let Me Free” is the first single from 1988 and features Melinda Kerkhoven on lead vocals. His style becomes a hard hitting delivery of heavy beats and sampled handclaps and drums. Many releases became quite popular instantly on dance floors including “Give Me Your Love” by Sisley Ferre from 1986 (featured on the Megatone Records label). “Let Me Free” plays out with a soaring energy which keeps its continuity throughout the tale of a heroine begging to be freed from a love gone wrong.

I have taken the vocal and vocoder versions of “Let Me Free” and rewired the explosive energy into a new ReStructure Mix. A new intro with a soother intro and action are featured as well as new breaks and segues with looped pieces of the original track.
