ReStructure Mix Update (9/20/19) “Disco Dancing” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Rice and Beans Orchestra

Rice and Beans Orchestra is a disco group from producer Pepe Luis Soto, who also produced Celi Bee and The Buzzy Bunch. The foundation of disco music is based on the reaction from DJs and dance floors – this piece titled “Disco Dancing” from 1977 is an example of how the disco craze caught fire thanks to this feedback. The track sounds like a take-off on The Ritchie Family’s “The Best Disco In Town” and this is what makes it great. It was the disco sound in its exploration and assemblage. A great rhythm piece with some classic disco percussion and guitar work.

I have taken the 12” version of “Disco Dancing” on the classic T.K. Records label and reassembled the groove for this ReStructure Mix. I have added some new beats and effects to give this “disco” piece a new lift.
