REISSUE: “Don’t Stop The Classics” by Tempo Rubato – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Tempo Rubato is a Dutch production team: G. Hessing, A. Mol, E. van Prehn, C. Bergman and E. Veerhoff also known as Cat Music. They have produced and created many disco projects in the early and mid-80s as well as a series of disc jockey break and effects compilations. “Don’t Stop The Classics” is their 1985 project which follows along the “Stars of 45” genre and style – this time around the use various ABBA tunes and some classical symphony excerpts. It is one of the big floor packers for me of the time and one of my favorite melodic disco tracks. I have taken the 1940 animated Walt Disney classic, “Fantasia” and synced the disco song and the animated segments together to create a fun and silly montage to flow with this Dutch disco number. The film was directed by Joe Grant and Dick Huemer Featuring scenes from “Fantasia” – RENT THE DVD! Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Produced by Ken Emmons
