REISSUE: “Boogie Business” by Lamont Dozier – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Boogie Business” by Lamont Dozier – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Lamont Dozier (party of the Motown acclaimed Holland-Dozier-Holland song writing/production team) releases his 1979 disco album “Bittersweet” in 1978 with funky-disco track “Boogie Business” and it seems as though time has never let him go. The track was a hit in many clubs and brought back the groove with soul and shine intact. It is one of the disco-licious songs that I favor from the period that was indeed a sleeper for many. In this Disco Video Mix I have blended the 1979 now-disco classic film “Disco Godfather” starring Rudy Ray Moore and Carol Speed – for all reasons that seem appropriate for the club-sonic disco DJ who is also known as The Disco Godfather. It paints the song a nice picture taking the violence and drub overtones away. Leaving a dance floor full of people doing their own “business”. The film was directed by J. Robert Wagoner Featuring scenes from “Disco Godfather” – RENT THE DVD! Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Produced by Ken Emmons
