ReStructure Mix Update (9/14/20) “Feel The Spin” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Debbie Harry
Debbie Harry takes on the 80’s with a dance sound that gives her an introduction into synth-pop. “Feel The Spin” is a track released in 1985 and featured in a dance flick soundtrack titled “Krush Groove”. Produced by John “Jellybean” Benitez and Doreen Dorian this one is a simple rhythmic number with a Calypso styled keyboard. It reflects the time period and the street beat sound which the bass keyboard elements a big part of the Stock Aitken and Waterman sound of the late 80s. The mood here is celebratory and Debbie once again recites an excursion into another world. And although the lyrics portray madness in mind it is still fun the way this diva recites and performs.
I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version of “Feel The Spin” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix using more of the bass line keyboards as the factor here. There is an ending taking the upbeat keyboard riff into the final phase of the excitement.
