ReStructure Mix Update (9/17/20) “Disco Train” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Dance Reaction

Dance Reaction is a disco group from Belgium that brought a style close to a rejuvenation of disco music to the early 80’s. The track “Disco Train” from 1981 was produced Frank Sauter and simply outlines the disco classic “Vertigo” from Dan Hartman – which was the introduction to the big dance floor hit “Relight My Fire”. The group ad libs spoken and light harmonies of a simple chorus riff in this electronic dance piece. It is simply one which stands out since the melody is so familiar. It is a basic arrangement with a few moments of underground early morning style energy.

I have taken the 12” version of “Disco Train” and placed it into a new context in this ReStructure Mix. Pieces of Dan Hartman’s original are added to bring the flow into perspective and more of the adlibs are rearranged.
