CORRECTION: "Jeremy" is from Donna's "All Systems Go" project from 1987 - Thanks to Troy Westrick for reminding me
Donna Summer released her twelfth project titled “Cats Without Claws” in 1984 – produced by Michael Omartian. The list of tracks in this package resembled the pop-synth dance tracks of the period and also some material which emphasized Donna’s rock and blues edge and what she aspired to be following the disco era. Her voice was always powerful and with tracks like “Jeremy” which follows the rock ballad theme of the 60’s it gave Donna the sound which made her stand apart and shine in her own light. The ballad was a beautiful piece which I always loved and taking it to a new canvas is a tribute to this part of Donna.
I have taken the album version of “Jeremy” as a ballad and added some new percussion tracks to transform it into a dreamy early morning dance experience. Another composition added by composer Pino Donaggio from his “Body Double” soundtrack to emphasize again the sexy and yearning side of Donna in the “Love To Love You Baby” tradition.
