REISSUE:“Street Sense” by The Salsoul Orchestra – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE:“Street Sense” by The Salsoul Orchestra – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

Tom Moulton and Thor Baldursson created the ninth album from The Salsoul Orchestra – a disco orchestra formed in 1974 with Vincent Montana Jr. – “Street Sense”.

The studio orchestra was based on the Philly sound infusing soul, funk and Latin rhythms – it helped to formulate a sound for disco music which became a big part of the disco movement of the 70s.

I have taken the title track form the LP and blended it in this Disco Video Mix along with the 2002 adaption of the 1975 Broadway production of “Chicago” – the film stars Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gene and Queen Latifah.

I have used parts and pieces of the dramatic dance segments to bring the disco track alive with the Broadway-like feel that it possesses.

The film was directed by Rob Marshall
