ReStructure Mix Update (10/24/19) “Movie Queen” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Harlow
Harlow is Joanne Perica, Johanna Vanderkley and Linda Hanchar – a trio whose early 80’s projects helped to keep the disco chorus arrangement alive. Their big club hit “Take Off” from the album “Taking Off” from 1980 is a classic beyond the disco era and contains all of the magic that is disco music. “Movie Queen” is another track from the project which was produced by Alex Alexander, Bertch Alyanak and Mike Alyanak. This piece is another touch of disco fantasy which weaves the dream of the Hollywood fame and fortune with all of the struggle and power. It was another number from the album that outlines this ensemble created so beautifully.
I have taken the album version of “Movie Queen” and reworked a ReStructure Mix with more of a downbeat and a few percussion effects to give it a boost. It remains true to the original with more of a lengthy feel and a fade out.
