REISSUE: “A-Freak-A” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Lemon Lemon is a studio disco project from producer Kenny Lehman (Rhetta Hughes, Hi-Tension, Chic) and features Luther Vandross, David Lasley, Diva Gray and Gordon Grody on vocals. Their self-titled album was one of the big 1978 surprises as it gave a laid back groove of disco tracks with a funky flair. “A-Freak-A” is the second release from this project following “Freak On” and is one of the anthems of the late 70’s as the “freak” trend of motifs collected, I have taken the album version of “A-Freak-A” and transformed pieces of the groove and vocals into a new ReStructure Mix. The rhythm guitars are played out in many variations in this remix and new drums are added to bring it to a new climax.
