REISSUE: “You’re Lying” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Linx Linx is a U.K. funk band with David Grant and Peter Martin. Their recordings include two albums both released in 1981. “Intuition” is the first project and contained the single “You’re Lying” which made a nice impact on dance floors. A compromised relationship is finally confronted in this song where a worn half confronts the second with the facts which are dishonesty and a line drawn. This one worked wonders for me in my club for a time when dance music was shifting and more of a slick pop-funk attitude is expressed. I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “You’re Lying” and worked the groove into a ReStructure Mix which extends more of the underlying bass and rhythm for a complete dance experience. A new percussion layer is added throughout the edit from Kraze Moonfou’s “Voodoo Sun” for a lift of energy.
