REISSUE: “Heaven Knows” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Donna Summer Donna Summer marked the height of her career and also in disco history in 1978 with her double record project “Live and More”. The 3 sided concert pressing is a display of Donna Summer’s fantastic vocals in a concert environment – even in play with her early recordings where she transformed the soft sexy tracks into her now emerging vocal abilities. “Heaven Knows” is one of the new songs from the project and features Brooklyn Dreams on backing vocals. It is one of Donna’s beautiful love songs and also marks a new phase of her career as the Queen of Disco. The production is another wonderful time when disco music was perfected with orchestrations and funky elements supporting the arrangement. I have taken the 12” version of “Heaven Knows” and recreated a new outline for this ReStructure Mix. It has more of a dub feel and breaks the original into more breaks for a new edit and experience.
