REISSUE: "Funkin' For Jamaica" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Tom Browne Tom Browne (Thomas Fredrick Browne) released his second jazz album in 1980 titled "Love Approach" - a big surprise was the funk/jazz track "Funkin' For Jamaica" which became a hardcore track on dance floors that went lower BPM and experimental for some good. The song is now considered an old-school classic. I have taken the LP version and ReStructured the funky grooves, as well as Tom's kick-ass trumpet to create a dub-like groove version to pull the rap and jazzy arrangement into a new piece.
