REISSUE: “Perfect Fit” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Jerry Knight

REISSUE: “Perfect Fit” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Jerry Knight Jerry Knight is a funk artist from the band Raydio (of Ray Parker Jr. ensemble) and eventually worked with the duo Ollie and Jerry – creating the title themes for the “Breakin’” movies (“Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us”). Jerry’s solo recording career gave us three projects where the second titled “Perfect Fit” from 1982 is the single released in clubs which did quite well. His approach contained the old-school flavor of the early 80’s and in a make shift of rhythms transitioning without taking away production. “Perfect Fit” plays out in the electronic funk arena like a Bootsy Collins piece with a pop-edge. I have taken the 12” version of “Perfect Fit” and worked a new ReStructure Mix for homage to the electronic old school flavor. A new intro of beats and layers of bass and drum kicks are added to bring this hot number to another hilt.
