ReStructure Mix Update (12/11/20) “Love Resurrection” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Alison Moyet
Alison Moyet is a voice which helped shape the early 80’s into a progressive and full of promise. With producer and musician Vince Clarke they formed Yazoo which introduced an innovative style of synth-pop driven by Moyet’s powerful vocal. “Love Resurrection” is her solo release project titled “Alf” from 1984 – produced by Tony Swain and Steve Jolley. This number is a haunting song which gives an opportunity to feel that need to be needed. A big hit for my club at the time and lasted throughout a few years following.
I have taken the 12” version of “Love Resurrection” and re-weaved a new ReStructure Mix using parts and pieces of the original and segmenting them in a new way. There are more breaks and also more of Alison.
