REISSUE: “Morning Music” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – St. Tropez

REISSUE: “Morning Music” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – St. Tropez St. Tropez is a disco ensemble produced by W. Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder which began as an outline for a disco concept that was sensual and bold. And although the music relayed a soft and sexy delivery the production from W. Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder played like an orchestral boom full of the ingredients that disco would become in the late 70’s. “Morning Music” is a cover of a track releases in 1978 by a cover band from John Davis titled Siren. This new recording takes the disco energy of the original and plays it out in a slow driving beat that would later become a genre of dance music called sleaze. The ensemble here consists of Mona Lisa Young, Phyllis Rhoades and Lyndie White is a disco display of sensual drama – a bit over the top but isn’t that disco music? I have taken the 12" vocal and instrumental of “Morning Music” and reworked a new ‘morning” mix for this ReStructure Mix. There is more of the orchestral lead in and a play with some of the elements that give it that intimate love making sound.
