REISSUE: “High On Mad Mountain" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Mike Theodore Orchestra

REISSUE: “High On Mad Mountain" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - The Mike Theodore Orchestra Classical overtures were a great source of music for big disco movers - it may have started with Walter Murphy's "Fifth Of Beethoven." Following this "Night On Bald Mountain" by David Shire and "Magic Bird Of Fire" inspired a flavor of wonderful orchestral dance pieces. Mike Theodore (Tempest Trio, C.J. & Co., The Dennis Coffey Band, Detroit Emeralds, Fantastic Four, Carlis Munro, Unlimited Touch, also engineered a 1988 LP by Blue Moderne) brought a style to disco music which cannot be left out anywhere - this cooker was long before Tantra's "Hills Of Kat Mandu" and may even have inspired the fantasy and funk of it. The course of this ReStructure grabs a hold of the moving percussion and wonderful flutes, strings and horns in the production. Thank you Mike for such a strong grasp of "disco-fantasy!"
