ReStructure Mix Update (4/19/21) “Litterbug” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Gentle Persuasion

Gentle Persuasion is Leza Holmes, Renee Johnson and Sharon Williams. These three ladies were obviously being targeted as the new Three Degrees as the trio here has some beautiful effects. Many hardcore disco music followers may remember them on the first USA European Connection album titled “Come Into My Heart” – where they made both the title track and “Love’s Coming/Baby Love” a success along with Boris Midney. “Litterbug” has the feel of a First Choice production with the stomping horns and a tale of heartache. These ladies once again make the song sweet and a pure Philly disco droplet. The production here is from Jerry Ross and Meco Monardo along with Van McCoy arranging. It is one of the early periods of disco music where the dance floor began directing the music as well as the disc jockeys.

I have taken the 12” version of “Litterbug” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix with a new foundation of kick beats to drive it up a few. There are the lovely voices of our ladies and more breaks to give the stage to the dancers.
