REISSUE: “Do Me Right” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Dynasty

Dynasty is a funk-disco band created by Leon Sylvers of The Sylvers (“Boogie Fever”) and Dick Griffey. This ensemble including Kevin Spencer, Leon Sylvers, Linda Carriere, Nidra Beard, Wardell Potts and William Shelby helped to keep the disco vibe alive in the early 80’s. Their big disco hit from 1979 titled “I Don't Want To Be A Freak (But I Can't Help Myself)” help to move this group into a trust with dance floors and those thriving for 80’s funk. “Do Me Right” is from their second project titled “Adventures In The Land Of Music” and is one of the pieces I would save for that inner crowd during peak hour at my club. One of the tracks that make Dynasty feels like a breath of fresh grooves and excitement.

I have taken the 12” version of “Do Me Right” and created a ReStructure Mix to pound more of this funk into a new groove. A new intro brings the promise of love with determination to the head and some new percussion.
