Vanity 6 is Vanity (Denise Katrina Matthews), Brenda Bennett and Susan Moonsey. This trio is one of project brought together by Prince who was moving in many directions at the time with his music and talent. “Nasty Girl” is there single from 1982 and has a rolling funk beat pattern which is a strip down of the groove itself. It is a sleaze number that always raised quite a few feet and eyebrows. Now an 80’s old school/.funk classic this one plays out as always in the deepest of eroticism.
I have taken the album version and instrumental of “Nasty Girl” and rewired the segments into a fast moving ReStructure Mix. The rhythm is pumped with more drum tracks and the vocal are spared with a more censored application.
