REISSUE: “Love Is A Stranger” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Eurythmics

For Jeffrey Best - my dear friend, Happy Birthdy 2019! And you were always the Eurythmics fan I looked up to.

Eurythmics is Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox – perhaps one of the most innovative and exciting groups of the 80’s. Their music was a mystical experience that worked about the synth-pop sound of this period. Most of the recognition was due to the unique style and aura of each artist. “Love Is A Stranger” is from their 1983 project titled “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” which introduced their pulse driven music into a new generation of dancers. The song is their most haunting and mystical number and has echoes of the 60’s psychedelic feel in a light feel. One of my favorites from the duo and one of Annie Lennox’s most intriguing performances.

I have taken the album version of “Love Is A Stranger” and re-casted a new spell for this ReStructure Mix. Many new breaks are placed within the wonderful original production and more of that dreamy effect is focused on.
