ReStructure Mix Update (4/7/21) “Together” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Cameron

Cameron is Rafael Cameron – a funk/disco singer from Georgetown, Guyana. His work on Salsoul Records are the relative funk fused production from Randy Mueller (Tamiko Jones, Skyy, Funk Deluxe) who moved the 70’s disco scene with his grooves worked on throughout the end of the 70’s and on to the 80’s., Cameron is a 1980 disco/funk project which plays out with more of the teasing sounds which he produced with Skyy – yet each track has its own life. “Together” is a bit of Cameron’s touch with a sensual breakdown and rolling bass line which follows. Mueller once again creates that infectious groove that achieved with Tamiko Jones’ classic “Can’t Live Without Your Love”. It is a nice piece of romance layered out with a beat. One of the tracks from the album which breaths with the sultry air that would make the early 80’s remember where dance floor owned its allegiance – the disco era.

I have taken the album version of “Together” and recreated a new arrangement for this ReStructure Mix. I have added a light touch of new drums and a few percussion elements to add to the lightly mastered original. I have kept the wind down of the original intact to only explode back into that groove for more energy.
