ReStructure Mix Update (6/12/21) “Over The Edge” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fever

Fever is a group featuring Dennis Wadlington, Joseph "Joe" Bomback and Dale Reed. Their self-titled first project from 1979 is disco classic and was produced by Dale Reed, Marty Blechman (Megatone Records) and Johnny Hedges. The 2 sided double medley contains some of the most exciting dance tracks from the period. The production is an early sign of the disco sound and production maturing into a synth-pop vehicle for the 80’s and eventually become high energy. Fever has always delivered the dance tracks that made an innovative statement. “Over The Edge” is the finale track from the side two medley and is the focus of this ReStructure Mix. I have used the slamming piano tracks and percussion to recreate a closing of the powerful statement that this group has made in the closing of the disco era.

I have taken the album version of “Over The Edge” and placed it in a montage of the Fever project for this ReStructure Mix. It moves along with some new drum tracks to beat the power up a few and also some new breaks. 

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Mr. Dennis Wadington and his work with Fever and his contributions to disco history.
