Cerrone who moved ahead of the game in the mid and late 70s with his take on European Disco also led with many hits for the dance floors.During the early 80s Cerrone once again made a shift into the electronic dance arena with several projects including a cover of The Temptations Motown classic “Standing In The Shadows of Love” released in 1983. This was a shift from his orchestrated arrangements and was his completely new sound worked magically. This cover does a wonderful job with a moody and atmospheric sound which worked very well during the early eighties where music shifted into a more underground sound for clubs..
I have taken the 12” version of Cerrone’s “Standing In The Shadows of Love” and worked his arrangement into a new ReStructure Mix. I have brought the song deeper into a club underground sound filled with more of the keyboard arrangements taking over as breaks.
