ReStructure Mix Update (6/14/21) “Love Is Calling” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Ella Toy

Ella Toy is an Italo-house project from Walter Cremonini and Mario Albanese released in 1991. Following the success of the 1990 Italian group Black Box it was the open gates for the Italian house movement to create their own style of bass driven dance music. More of the sample feels as in the M.A.R.R.S. track “Pump Up The Volume” and a unique edge where recorded vocals could be used in the same manner. “Love Is Calling” is an infectious piece in this genre that makes it all worthwhile. The intricate weaving of the big band horns are the energy that makes the song work like magic.  This was always a favorite of mine and one that lit many nights a fire on dance floor.

I have taken the 12” club and dub versions of “Love Is Calling” and rewired the pieces into a new ReStructure Mix. I have spaced apart the vocal and added a new drum beat along with a fierce kick to guide the song in its new form.
