ReStructure Mix Update (1/14/21) “New Toy” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Flirts

The Flirts are one of Bobby Orlando’s female groups created in the early 80’s to help move his new high energy music into play. The ensemble has changed vocalist throughout time but have always remained dedicated to the rolling bass and energy of the driving dance energy which Orlando worked in many variations on many of his studio sessions. “New Toy” is from the 1985 album “Blondes Brunettes & Redheads” and takes the trio into the New York beats and samples werk that was a sensation of the time. It is a catchy track that is simple and yet plays out with these ladies as a perfume of lure with lots of sensuality once again.

I have taken the 12’ vocal and dub of “New Toy” and reworked a play thing for this ReStructure Mix. Adding a classic Cerrone piece as the anchor for rhythm and bass this time out the energy in more pumping.
