ReStructure Mix Update (1/17/21) “Get Up” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Maria Verano

Maria Verano is a disco artist from The Netherlands who started her singing talents as a young child. A Dutch producer, Jacques Zwart discovered her in the early 80’s and created a sensation with her 1980 single titled, “Get Up” and gave Verano a new audience to share her passion to. The song has a nice rock edged vocal that definitely takes over the track with a powerful presence. One of the nice transition pieces from the end of the disco era onto a new generation of synth-pop and high energy. This one made a big mark on my dance floors during peak hours when the floor was ready for some motivation.

I have taken the 12” version of “Get Up” and rewired the song using its own electronic keyboard parts in durations for this ReStructure Mix. I have also added another 80’s classic to the mix using the Patrick Cowley bassline as a new foundation.
