Ashaye (Trevor Julian Ashaye) is a singer who began his career with Earthline Connection and eventually introduced him to producers Fiachra Trench and Nick Glenny Smith who featured him on a medley of Michael Jackson hits. After charting in the UK he was brought on to a project with producers Andy Sojka & Rick Dejongh and the single “Electricity”. One of the dance tracks that were fittingly arranged the song with a blend of electronic street beats meet high energy. The arrangement follows the innovative style of Sojka and Dejongh’s work on their past work project by Atmosfear and Contact-U. “Electricity” is a piece that feels like a mild tremor and then builds to a mild energy that is hypnotic. Ashaye performs his vocal with an ease that creates another lure into this wonderful dance number.

I have used the 12” vocal and dub version of “Electricity” to perform a ReStructure Mix on this 80’s dance track. There are more definitive street beats added to give the song more of a stripped down feel.
