REISSUE: “Sex Appeal” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Sophie St. Laurent Sophie St. Laurent is a Canadian dance project from producers Anand Maharajh and Paul Klein. This electronic track is from 1983 and its title “Sex Appeal” gives us just that. It is a sexy piece with a beat street feel and an alluring chorus that exudes a sexy rhythm. One of the big pieces for me of the time I would have to extend this one over and over to keep the crowd happy. This one fits perfectly into the 80s crossover with its erotic style and the beats bumping all over the place. I have taken the 12” version of “Sex Appeal” and reworked a ReStructure Mix and refocused on a downbeat to shift this remix. It plays out longer with more of the elements that make it work so well.
