ReStructure Mix Update (7/23/20) “Oxygen” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Blue August Project
The Blue August Project is dance project from producer Phil Harding – who also gave us tracks from The Technos, Norma Lewis, Jackson Moore and Nitzer Ebb. This 1987 release is a club classic in the anthem form. It brought a period in the late 80’s where the high energy sound was once again brought onto the spotlight with beauty and the true essence of disco/dance. It was a breath of fresh air for the time and still resonates nicely with its crescendos and peaks.
I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version of “Oxygen” and reworked a spectacle of an anthem in this ReStructure Mix. There are more of those echo-claps that bring magic to the beats and a few more peaks to bring this love song a new life.
