GQ is a disco/funk band - Emanuel "Rahiem" LeBlanc, Herb Lane, Keith Crier, Paul Service and Steve Adorno. Their huge disco hit “Disco Nights (Rock Freak)” from 1979 gave them the golden opportunity to become one of the recognizable faces of a time period of dance music. Disco was always defined with a variation of funk and soul combined with a heavy bass drum and accentuated strings. GQ is a great demonstration of the disco sound fused with funk and soul. “This Happy Feeling” is a single from their 1979 album “Disco Nights” and holds all of the magic the band created with their talents.

I have taken the album version of “This Happy Feeling” and focused on the heavy bass guitar groove as the standar5d for this ReStructure Mix. A classic riff from Mass Production is sampled to bring old-school and disco together.
