ReStructure Mix Update (7/24/20) “Dancin' In The Key Of Life” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Steve Arrington

Steve Arrington is a soul/gospel artist who began his recording career in 1978 with the band Slave – known for his vocal on the track “Just A Touch Of Love”. His solo career gave us an inspirational dance track from 1985 titled “Dancing in The Key Of Life” which became a club favorite immediately. Produced by Keg Johnson and Wilmer Raglin brought to the surface the garage sound of soul crossing into the 80’s dance circuit. This drum and percussion sound lead by house-like bass sounds was an innovative style and helped to pave the wave for a new edge of music for the dance floor. Arrington gives an incredible vocal on “Dancing In The Key of Life” and has always made this one sound like a standard.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Dancing In The Key Of Life” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix with a deeper dub feel. There are several new breaks and also some play with Steve’s vocal track.

This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Ray Duran Jr. from Facebook – thanks for always being so uplifting and reminding me that the best people are the united in club music!
