REISSUE: "Love Dance” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Playmate Playmate is a German disco project from producers Christian Bensch, Peter Wagner and Uli Roever (also known as Cup Productions). “Love Dance” is a single which was originally recorded in 1978 by an artist, Isabel and produced by the same group in 1978. This one is a classic disco sound blended with Spanish guitars, percussion and a sexy chorus – everything that disco music claimed to be in the late 70s. This one echoes over and over what chorus implies. I have taken the 12” single version on Salsoul Records – originally remixed by Bobby “DJ” Guttadaro and recreated a ReStructure Mix with more overlaid percussion and guitar riffs to please every couple moving and swaying to this number. Always a favorite as an early evening charmer or an afterhours treat.
