REISSUE: “The Fever Rock” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fever

REISSUE: “The Fever Rock” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fever Fever is Dale Reed, Dennis Wadlington and Joseph “Joe” Bomback – a band who became one of the resonating memories of the biggest disco projects in history for clubs. “Beat Of The Night” is one of the big cuts from the project and self-titled album from 1979. The session featured assistance from Patrick Cowley on synthesizers, vocals by Clydene Jackson, Julian Tilman Waters and Maxine Willard Waters, along with production guidance by John Hedges and Megatone’s Marty Blechman. “The Fever Rock” is the fourth track from the 2-sided segued disco energized project. Always a favorite of mine and a wonderful fantasy for the disco floor and another anthem-like piece from Fever. Those who remember their first single “Standing In The Shadows Of Love” know what I am talking about. I have taken the album version of “The Fever Rock” and broke the beat into pounding 4 beat drums for this ReStructure Mix. The rolling energy is stopped for few new breaks where the “rock” takes on a new beat-feel. This one is one of my favorites and again marks a giant moment when “disco ruled the world”! Dedicated to Mr. Dennis Wadlington – the music you created is the memory of so many great times.
