High Inergy is a girl group from Motown Records featuring Barbara Mitchell, Linda Howard and Michelle Rumph. The group was formed in 1977 and became one of the top soul pics for the mid-70’s following their hit “You Can't Turn Me Off (In The Middle Of Turning Me On)”. Their last project titled “Groove Patrol” from 1983 was a powerful beat driven track produced by George Tobin and Mike Piccirillo. This one is a slammin’ dance piece telling the confessions of a woman who will not play into a “player". One of the big Motown promises of the year and the perfect stage for the ladies.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “He’s A Pretender” and re-stomped a new ReStructure Mix for the finale chapter of High Inergy. The new groove gives way to a longer and more flowing arrangement for the feet and heart.
