REISSUE: “New Beginning” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Buck’s Fizz Buck’s Fizz is an English pop group with Bobby G, Cheryl Baker, David Van Day, Jay Aston, Lianna Lee, Mike Nolan, Sally Jacks, Shelley Preston. Their 1986 anthem “New Beginning” is produced by Andy Hill and was a great uplifting chorus-driven dance number. A positive look at the world’s future in taking care in the youth for a great cause. It was one of the songs which worked for me during peak hours since it broke out of the norm for the time and also brought a spark of enlightenment to a program. One of my personal favorite for the high energy period of the time. I have taken the US 12” – extended version and dub remixed by Ian Levine and created a new ReStructure Mix to keep this wonderful anthem alive. It gives more attention to the synthesizer and percussion and also leads in with a tribal fest.
