REISSUE: “Something About You” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Angela Bofill

REISSUE: “Something About You” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Angela Bofill Angela Bofill is a vocalist who began as a jazz influenced voice with many recordings that placed her in a unique start. Following the direction of ballads which outlined a love story of either new love or heartbreak her direction became more of an r&b and funk take with her beautiful voice. The 80’s brought her into a new arena of self-discovery and a new style put forth by her new label Arista Records and the direction of being a leading diva. “Something About You” is simply a take on the pop-dance market with Angela serenading with her voice in a new arena. She handles this love sonata with all of her sense of displaying her goods effectively. Produced by Narada Michael Walden in his prime of creating or rejuvenating talented voices this one is merely a sweet love song that plays out plainly. One of the factors which always caught my attention is the guest musician – Mr. Patrick Cowley brought on board for this one creates the sweeping hand claps. I have taken the album version of “Something About You” and reworked the horns and funk beats into a new ReStructure Mix. A longer intro using snippets and pieces of breaks and intros make this a lengthier experience and more of Angela’s sweetness in her vocals more of a stage.
