REISSUE: “You Got It” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Kumano

REISSUE: “You Got It” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Kumano Kumano is a band lead by Randy Kumano and released their first album on Prelude Records in 1980 and also featured the big dance floor hit, “I’ll Cry For You”. The lead singer, Stuart Peterson has one of the most haunting and emotional masculine voices in disco music – as heard in the first album. The sound is a 70’s soft rock edge with a disco beat. “You Got It” is from the album and is another nice piece of music from the early 80’s which gives off the Prelude/New York disco sound in full energy. It was always a second choice for my sets which needed a smooth breakdown or just a break from rolling energy into more of an emotional climb. I have taken the album version of “You Got It” and worked it into a new ReStructure Mix adding more drums, percussion and a new arrangement. This new take is a tribute to the manifested disco sound of the late 70’s and also a great musician as Randy Kumano whose blues and R&B dedication is broken here to deliver a wonderful disco project.
