Stacey Q is one of the synth-pop artists of the 80’s who made a mark in dance music using her own style. “Two Of Hearts” is her 1986 dance floor hit which helped to renew the synth-pop edge with a high energy feel. Produced by Jon St. James who also gave us Bardeux and Red Flag - along with his use of keyboards and sequencers created a sound which resonated throughout the late 80’s. “Insecurity” is also from Stacey Q’s “Better Than Heaven” project and plays out in a similar fashion yet thanks to her approach and energy revives her style again. The song is a simple track which follows the verses into the chorus expressing our focus and yet an extended remix always made the trip well worth taking.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Insecurity” and reworked the electronic pulses into a new ReStructure Mix. I have layered the bass sequencers until they scream and also re aligned the verses into a new experience. Thanks to Michael Zamora for requesting this 80’s energy piece.
