ReStructure Mix Update (7/22/26): “Fruit Of Love” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Transformer 2

Transformer 2 is an electronic/trance project from 1993 featuring Jeff Vanbockryck and Johan Gielen. During the early 90’s the house music movement brought a fusion of various sounds and helped to create techno, trance, rave and ambient styles of dance productions. “Fruit Of Love” is their 1992 single which blends a sweet sound of distant bagpipes into a whirling techno piece and eventually an mindful ambient flow. The production from Richard Ford is a full on electronic keyboard and sequencer arrangement which finishes with a female vocal celebrating the “fruit of love” - which may be a unifying moment in the future for humanity. The essence of this style of dance music is the variation in parts and how well they blend together. Much of the late seventies innovative disco music by producers like Boris Midney who gave sweeping disco strings which would suddenly drop into a bongo break. The creative feel and beauty of the process is what we hear in this track.

I have taken the 4 versions of “Fruit Of Love” from the 12” single and realigned the best of these parts in this ReStructure Mix. The intro plays out in the majestic guitar solo which becomes the center of our journey.
