Heaven ‘N’ Hell Orchestra is a dream disco production and many of the talent are members of Salsoul Orchestra ensemble including The Sweethearts Of Sigma on vocals. This was a part of a soundtrack for a comedy titled “Nocturna” which is the story of Dracula’s daughter visiting New York for the first time and falling in love with a mortal and disco nightlife. “Bitten By The Love Bug” is a track used in disco sequences and is a love song directed at the theme of the film with vampires taking most of the credit. The true disco arrangement and execution are the sounds that are a segment of New York disco music in its final glory during 1979. Produced by Reid Whitelaw and Norman Bergen with Don Renaldo on strings.This number is not the most attentive approach for a disco gem although it contains many players who made disco music a big part of 70’s history.
I have taken the album version of “Bitten By The Love Bug” and placed the disco arrangement on a new rotation for this ReStructure Mix. I have added a new drum/percussion track to give it a transition to the electronic age and yet celebrated the strings, percussion and vocals that are pure disco once again.
