REISSUE: “Everlasting Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Vicki Sue Robinson Vicki Sue Robinson “turned the disco beat around” in 1976 with her huge pop-disco hit “Turn The Beat Around”. From this moment on dance music became identifiable and full of excitement and an uplifting Vicki is one of the beloved voices of disco music and has delivered some of the great dance hits including “Hold Tight” and “Nighttime Fantasy”. During the 80’s she returned with her loyal producer Warren Schatz with two incredible cover songs – “To Sir With Love” and “Everlasting Love”. The Robert Knight hit from 1967 is one of Vicki wonderful vocal challenges with success. It plays out as lyrical and fluent as the song desires. Schatz’s also performs well during the 80’s as he strips down the production to electronic play with a touch of strings. I have taken the12” vocal and instrumental of “Everlasting Love” by Vicki and transformed it into a new ReStructure Mix using the segments that lay out the songs sweetest pieces. More of the electronic sequencers and keyboards are used to bring out the hard edge foundation as the lyrical love song moves us once again.
