ReStructure Mix Update (10/28/20) “Jackie” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Blue Zone U.K.

Blue Zone U.K. is ANDY Morris, Ian Devaney and Lisa Stansfield. A trio whom released “Big Thing” in 1988 – a project which contained the single “Jackie” which took clubs by storm not only because the vocal from Lisa Stansfield was irresistible – but also the production and song itself were a wall of energy and perfect for the time period. This one was a huge success immedietly following the 12” single release and made another promise that was short lived for a fabulous singer like Stansfield. Her big sound with a soulful edge always worked a number and with “Jackie” it was ominous. One of my favorites of the time and many others, I am sure.

I have taken the US 12” vocal and dub version to recreate another opportunity for “Jackie” in this ReStructure Mix. All of the percussion and drum effects are from the original recording so the sound is still intact with only a new arrangement.
