REISSUE: “(Together In) Electric Dreams" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Giorgio Moroder and Phillip Oakley The early 80’s were a period where disco music was transforming pop music into dance fusion. We were lucky to find the champions of disco music, such as Giorgio Moroder holding steady within the industry and giving us projects with a new style and flavor. Although Moroder may have phased a bit from the futuristic feel of disco music he used the pop dance medium as his influence. From this style he created great tunes like the theme from the early computer fantasy film, “Electric Dreams” – the genius was complete in using Human League vocalist, Phillip Oakley. Together they created dreams that lasted on the dance floor. My ReStructure of this 80’s dance hall premium is dedicated to disco fans everywhere, appropriately.
