REISSUE: "Don’t You Want My Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Vera

REISSUE: "Don’t You Want My Love” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Vera Vera is Patti Masi – a Canadian disco artist who helped the club scene during a transition from disco to electronic dance productions. Her beautiful vocal is one of the key elements to the disco magic of the late 70s. Her first big hit from 1981 “Take Me To The Bridge” is one of the best of its time for club records. Produced by Louis Toteda and beautifully arranged and executed. A start for this artist to become an addition and long waited follow up for hardcore jocks everywhere. “Don’t You Want My Love” is a single from Vera released in 1982 and from her second album. A nice love sonnet in an early morning package or sleaze feel. The beautiful vocals from Vera are like warmth that brings a promise to love. This is one of my favorite forms of dance music and this one was a favorite and a part of many of my afterhour’s programs. I have taken the 12” of “Don’t You Want My Love” and recreated a new ReStructure Mix with more instrumental segues to give a nice introduction to Vera’s lovely vocal. A few breaks are added to give it more of that after hours feel. This ReStructure Mix is dedicated to Patti Masi (Vera) and Louis Toteda – thanks for sharing your talent with the world.
