Eugene Record is a soul artist and vocalist who as the lead singer of The Chi-lites took control of many hearts and souls of those who were longing for emotion and range. His career spanned a solo recording period from 1977 through 1981. His disco recording from 1979 is a single with two tracks united in a medley – “I Don't Mind” and “Take Everything”. This 12” single was a nice soulful vocal presented over a disco arrangement with the traditional breaks and lead in instrumental. One of the big disco/soul numbers of the big 1979 dance pool.
I have taken the 12’ version of “Medley: “I Don't Mind’ / “Take Everything” and blended the two pieces over a new arrangement for this ReStructure Mix. Pieces of the great percussion breaks are sprinkled throughout the mix top give it more of the feel that it deserves
