Santana is a Latin-rock group assembled in the 60’s by Carlos Santana. The band began their recording career in 1969 and was highly acclaimed by fusing Latin rhythms with rock music which gave them a lasting career though present day. In 1985 the band released their project titled “Beyond Appearances” produced by Val Garay – the project featured a single, “Say It Again” which was a dance number bringing them into the pop-dance spotlight. The single did quite well in clubs and dance palaces as it builds up to a chorus with an uplifting message. This one did quite well for me in the many sets of high energy and synth-pop sets which worked on peak time.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental versions of “Say It Again” and reworked the track into a new ReStructure Mix. The verses are extended into new crescendos and much of the percussion is utilized throughout the new mix. A classic Santana piece is also added for good measure.
